Well, it seems we've all been through a lot in these past 12 years. We've seen a few members come and go, and have lost some good friends along the way... was it all worth it?

Looks like I'm heading towards a huge server upgrade, and will need to shut the site down for a few days, or remove it forever.

My question today is... Does CVR go forward, or have we over stayed our usefulness? I guess what I'm looking for is feedback from our members, old and new... is CVR still a place for riders to get together to share ideas and plan rides, or are we just hanging on to the remnants of what we once were?

Well... not sure how much my 2 cents is worth since I'm very new on this site, but it did not work out the way I was hoping. After posting once or twice, I gave up due to lack of feedback or interest. In my bygone days I used to run and support many servers and sites, so I understand your concern about participation. Today, much of what you offer has been replaced by entities with server farms and plenty of capital. It's clear the cost / benefit analysis you are undertaking will decide the future of this site. Personally, I'm all for you keeping it up, but I cannot guarantee much participation. Whatever decision you make... the biking community is much better off with your past and any future efforts you undertake.

My whole experience with this site has been positive. Keep it alive. Riding comes in spurts.
So does interaction on the site.

12 years is a long time. Times were good. Those days are gone.

Or

Breathe some new life into this community. It takes more than just “being”.

Organize rides. Be passionate. Send out emails. Curate engaging content.

If you don’t want to do that. Then the site will simply remain is a state of being, a relic.

Legit made a post and my photos direct from iPhone were “too large”. I just gave up. Possible fix? Increase upload size to accommodate current gen devices?
