Default Picked up an R1 to ride with my daughter

I dont want to put a bunch of miles on my RG500 while my daughter gets back into riding, and my Flat Tracker is nowhere near being built so I decided to grab an inexpensive sport bike to ride along with her.

I looked at quite a few. I almost bought a 675 like hers but decided I wanted another liter bike. Having 2 RC51s I considered another but just didnt find one that I liked. I always wanted an R1 so I limited myself to $6000 and scanned the market. I found this 06.

    Graves 1/2 system w/Ti cans & Ti “Y” pipe

    Woodcraft Ignition cover
    Graves Crankshaft cover

    Woodcraft front axle sliders
    Woodcraft swingarm slider/spools

I do at least need to get it to the track and pay someone to set it up for me. It would be a waste to have the Ohlins and then not have it tuned to me.

I don't have any gear through. Can't justify it for something I'll do maybe twice a year. I wont buy a cheap track suit or boots

I've got a (size 56 or 58 I believe) Alpinestars full suit, and a Sedici same size you are more than welcome to borrow anytime you feel like hitting the track. I'm in the process of tearing down my gsx-r that's been parked for 4 years so I can get back to track riding, so in a few weeks I'll be ready to hit Buttonwillow if ya feel like meeting us down there one day.

we'll see. I need to just get back into regular riding first before I start to push it. I'm only 4 months out of back surgery as well. This time they did a better job and I'm feeling really good. I wont ever be 100% pain free but this is so much different than before.

    Purdy!

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Damn, nice find man! That's a great bike. If I were in the market for a race bike and purchased that one, I'd be very happy with it. I gotta get my RC street ready again so we can hit the hills together!

Not that it needs it but knowing you, you likely will have plans for it yes?
