Default Going to do a tracker build

I'm deviating from my normal 2 stroke stuff. This will be my first tracker build. I am picking up a decent used XS650, but this is what it will finish like- with the exception that I dont want black pipes, I'd rather have stainless

found a great 79 for $1100 bucks. My son had to drive to pick it up for me in Palm SPrings.

I could no more ride dirt track than I could ride motocross. My back is worse than it's ever been. One more disc replaced, but it was poisoning my body.

Check out these 7" stubby race cans. I found a place that will build me an exhaust with two of these cans on it. It will look like the yellow bike picture with both on the right side, Ascot style. But natural finish, not black.

I'm still recovering from surgery, I wont even have the bike up in fresno probably until november. I cant drive to san diego yet . I'm just going to start buying and collecting parts for it until the point I can start the build.

In the mean time I'm building RC airplane kits

no front fender, I bought this fork brace today. pretty cool. It'll have a bunch of hand made parts on it. Exhaust is in process. Seat is fiberglass from hotwings. good price for seat with pad and license plate/light combo. $215 bucks. aluminum side number plates.

Jan, whats the diameter of the tubing on that fork brace. I'm sure it's smaller than it appears; just curious.

    exhaust in progress.

This bike is the pipe builder's bike and has a 4" extended swingarm. On my bike the wheel will be forward 4" so the cans will be about where the wheel rim meets the tire

Kickstand! I extended the kickstand, not the swing arm.

I think I do need to bring it by for a little bend tweak. It folds up underneath the frame where my foot can't reach it.

it wouldnt have helped. I'll bring it by as a roller some time and we can look and see what it needs. I painted it, but I can just re-paint after it gets bent outwards. I think a 15 degree bend about half way would cure it.

It would do 2 things- put it out where I can get it with my toe, and give it just a little more lean angle. The lean angle is fine right now, but I forgot when you add the engine and all other weight the suspension will sag just a bit and it might be too close to vertical sitting on the stand.
