    Default Firearms dealers

Can I get some suggestions on which firearm dealers are good, and probably more importantly, which should be avoided.
I'm in the market for a good CCW pistol.

    Thank you in advance.

If you need advice on what to possibly buy, I have a friend that is very knowledgeable on firearms.
He would love the chat guns with you. He does not work at a dealer anymore so he can't sell you one but he can point you in the right direction on what to buy.

As for local dealers....I like Breco in Clovis. I don't know how their prices are, but their customer service was excellent when I was in there.
PRK never have the time to talk much if you have questions.
The Herb Bauer staff that I have dealt with were obnoxious.
Full Spectrum were terrible. I hounded them for a month for a gun that I wanted...they keep saying "3 days"...."next week".....it'll be here on Friday" etc, etc... I then went to another store, they had it within a week!

I'll second this. Breco has been great to deal with every time i've been in, and their prices are competitive as far as i can tell.

I went to The Range this weekend and shot a couple. I liked the S&W Shield .40 except that it only holds 7. I have several more to try before I make a decision.

I'm going to try the Glock 27 tonight. I'm kinda sold on the bigger, heavier, but slower idea.

I did not like the Glock.
The trigger felt like a old rusty hinge with sand in it.
I'm liking the Springfield so far.

    so you got the XDS9

    XD is compact w/ a 4" barrel
    XDS is sub-compact w/ a 3" barrel

Everything else is the same size if you use a 10 round mag with pinky extension, just a 1" shorter barrel.

As soon as I take possession on 12/7 I'll be signing up for the CCW class.
    I'm looking forward to that.
