    Default Jose Basin thanksgiving day

going up to jose basin thurs. morn .
been a decade since ive been there
i wonder if anyone has a good map?
also, I usually park at mathews mill.
    what i was wondering is
a: can we park and ride from up by auberry road close to pine ridge?
B: can we park and ride from redinger lake?
or where is the quickest place to park and ride up there?
"It would be great to have a guide or some company..".
We are taking up a quad and a mx bike. (raptor350 and yz250f)
I went a week ago and it was empty and fun...

    thanks all...

no dust ..lots of grip.. some slime
temps were good 8 am to 3:00 pm.
    saw a forestry officer.
he stopped us ,checked but was a cool dude..
    told us to have fun...
Snow has finally come to the sierras..

Rick, is should be healed enough for a ride after the new year.. If you're going back let me know a head of time.. Is it rough like 007 and Miami Trails?

jose basin is good training/tune up ground ..
lots of logging trails Good vista views...with a few power line trails.
    stuff the 4x4's do..
some serious rocky sections..enough to keep you tuned up.
but not high level (depends on riders mind) except a few spots.
we did a 50 mile log road swoop in 2.5 hrs avg. 25 mph
also did tight stuff 3 to 10 mph
add water "makes its own sauce"...
feel free to join us anytime...

Barney and I did the basin again today.. Thursday.
1 hour from fresno ..exactly... (hauling a enclosed trailer behind a 4cyl toyota)
we rode 10 am till 2:30pm
    It was perfect..NO DUST..some puddles...sticky hills..
    kinda sunny ...
    55 maybe in the sun
    38 in the shady nooks
parked at pine ridge again ( need sun when doing break)
We had it all to ourselves.
come on folks ... now is the time to ride...

well.. got a surprise and went to the basin on the 10th
    it was excellent.
spent the day on a yz250
(my Hiney sure took a whoopin)
these new style 4 strokes are amazing..
i cant say enough for gearing up.
    (knee pads,elbow pads, Chest/shoulder armor)
I went down 2 times at speed and had not a scratch.
here is some fun shots on the quad..
