Anybody know if there is some where local where I can get my rotors resurfaced???
Or do I have to replace them for some hot spots??

Replace them. Its not a common practice to resurface motorcycle rotors. This is particularly true with drilled or slotted rotors that have been so common the last 20 years. A machine shop may be able to deck cut them like you would a cylinder head to make it flat but that would only be possible with one piece rotors not floating rotors like most modern sport bikes have.

Give Mike at FP Racing a call. If you send him your rotors, he can tell you if they can be resurfaced or not. He did my 900 rotors a while back and they turned out great, still using them. If you're looking for new rotors, he's got the Galfer hookup and can created them in any fashion you like.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

After looking at the rotors closer and doing some more research I think they may just be glazed up pretty good. Any tried and true methods for cleaning???

Those anodized Galfer rotors are SWEET!

I would love to pick up a set with gold centers and red rivets for my RC51. They're a bit expensive though. I'll probably wait until my current rotors are worn out to buy them.

Joel, could having the rotors sandblasted or something remove the glazing you think?

do you have access to a lathe? I put my rotors in the lathe at work and spun them slowly and used a 90 degree die grinder with a scotchbrite pad on it and went over the rotor as it slowly rotated.

    made them look like new

No I haven't had a chance to do anything with it, life got busy. I don't have access to a lathe when I get a chance I'll try cleaning them up with a little fine grit sand paper and see how that works. Thanks for the ideas guys.

if you try it by hand you wont get very far. It needs to be a powered scotchbrite
