    Default Dualsportin' Death Valley Anyone?

I get one shot at an overnighter every six months or so... And its been 6 months since my last.

Getting ready for this one and going to Iron Butt it down there on the DR with a few other buddies. It will be rather PG13 for the hardcore offroaders, freezing cold at night, and you will have wished you had rented a hotel room after the first night, but it will be glorious!

Have I painted a savory picture for you all yet? If it has knobbies can take the highway abuse and you are willing to ride well beyond the point where your ass has gone thoroughly numb then this is the ride for you.

Hope to see some of you there ->

I will be offroad lots though. I am not sure a headcount is really possible but I would estimate min. of 20 will be there at the camp.

Sam - we will be riding Titus Canyon on saturday. You could meet us at the trail head and I will run rescue vehicle for you if needed. It won't be as imbarassing being lead/towed out by another suzuki

*edit yer not on a suzuki - er nevermind it'll be good and imbarassing... Come anyway.

The Mojave road run was a good one to do on a bike.
Start right there @ the Avi Resort & end up in Barstow.

There is a leg of mojave trail from essentially afton canyon to laughlin that to date has been my favorite desert run.

Done it twice and jonsin to do it again... Gotta take the 530 for that'n though. Much more fun high speed

Oh yes... Home an hour ago. Had a great time. Wore the hell out. Might be a few roadish pic in my phone - go pro video of us horsing around in Titus canyon forthcomming at some point.

Titus was hilarious - we started rolling withoit motors at the top figuring we would fire up as soon as we needed to... Only to find out the grade is soo steep we rolled down 99% of it without motors. I fired up 3 times for less than 30 sec to get up a small hill or a flat spot. It was litterally a 30 min downhill coast. It was hilarious. Next time we are gonna race it with no motors (run the uphill sections) fun fun fun.

    And Another:

I wasn't able to make the route with these guys like I initially wanted - new rider in the group and pushing someone you don't know isnt a good way to make new freinds.

Had a great time can't wait to do it again... More video (with our group in it) forthcomming.

I love the rocky stuff, yes I whine and complain about it - but I am enjoying the challenge. Dunes are fun for a little while, but get boring fast unless you are launching 50' jumps off of them and that is just asking to break something (rather everything) with a big dualsport.

The guys I ride with usually ride 2-3 times a month, I only get out once every other month or so. If you are not already signed up on www.advrider.com you need to git in and get signed up. The link where the usual suspects keep in contact is here:

The "next" ride (and there is always one soon after with these lunatics ) is February 17th-20th but I can't go. Broke as **** - it'll be at least two paychecks before I can do any extreme overnight freeze my arse off adventures again.
