well i made it home in one piece...the bike did too. i rode C-group at Willow Springs (big track) yesterday. It was a big difference from what i was expecting (aka i expected to be fast out there....not even close :pound:) watching the control riders rape me on the outside and inside of turns was awesome

but i had a blast, definitely caught the addiction and learned a lot of stuff about my abilities and my bike. Thanks to Dustin and TrackDaz!

here's a video and a couple pics that i took at the track. i'll post pics of me on the track once the photography company posts them on their website

Awesome! The video was really smooth. Did you rent a cam from caliphotography? That cross plane engine sounds neat out there. A whole different noise pitch than my 08 had. You really tore up those stockers! My first day out there I had some really good riding buddies, so the track layout just really felt natural after all the advice. I couldn't imagine going out to Big Willow with out the help I had. Did you grab a control rider for help?

the gopro is my own. i keep forgetting to set it at 720p! before we went out for the first session, we all went up to the classroom for about 45min to get a nice orientation. then after our first session we got a lot more advice. I should've asked one of them to follow me and critique me but i didn't...i plan on going again as soon as i figure out what days i have off! :D

Yeah asking questions is the best at the track. I have no shame what so ever, I will talk you head off when it comes to track questions. I have heard many different way to take a corner at BW, but the fact that I have heard the advice period makes it so much better. Listening and talking to experienced track junkies has helped me tremendously.

If your running 720P mode make sure you have a class 6 SD card. Trust me on this one. Your footage will look better and wont take years to get off the SD card. The 720P mode @ 60fps just cant get better, it is so awesome!

Download AVS Video Editor to add lap timer to your video, you can easily do it. Or send me the file and I will do it for you.

make sure if you're posting them on youtube, you edit them to 10min tops, or else you'll have wasted 2 hours of waiting for it to upload for no reason....don't ask me how i know

Definitely hit up the control riders for help at the track days! These guys are there for that reason. The control riders should be your best friend. Especially when you are at a new track. I molested the control riders for help all the time andd learned loads of info everty time. MOST are really cool to work with too.
