When you start a new thread there is an option at the bottom.

Thanks Bryan! I searched around after begining a new thread but didn't see anything related to a poll. Is there a specific area, or is the poll option under another function or heading?

When you start a new thread you will find the option to create a poll under "Additional Options." It's there I just looked.
