Did a coolant flush today and refilled with Engine Ice coolant. Afterwards I let the engine idle for a few minutes and the fan never came on. So I went for a 10-15 ride and the fan still didn't come on. The bike rode fine as usual. I never noticed the fan before I did the flush. In the current weather how fast does your radiator fan turn on? Anyone ever notice? Not sure if this is a problem.

check the fuse? my fan kicks on at 210-215 F:+1: Or the relay. But more than likely you are not allowing the bike to get hot enough for the fans to come on. And with this weather it will take a while and riding it around won't do it either since you are moving air through the radiator keeping the temperature down.

my bikes fan won't turn on till 220. the only time it runs that hot is when it stands still idling .

:word: 10-15 min. you can guarantee that your engine isn't hot enough. pay attention to your temp gauge. mine also kicks on at 220.

Thanks for the replies. I don't have a temp guage but I think you guys are right. I didn't give the engine enough time to get hot enough to start the fan.
