Don't rent a bike.

Look up the test step by step they are going to ask you to do an attempt it on the dmv course after they have closed for the day or better yet on a day they are closed.

What do they make you do for the test anyway?

I never took it because I did the MST course to get my license in this country.

Make u piont out controls and switches. But the circle is like 12' wide. Anni knw if u go that route ur graded on a piont system and not if u touch lines or put foot down even once u fail!!

be familiar with your motorcycle's controls, ride in a straight line and upshift, then downshift. Ride inside a set circle without putting your foot down. this is the most difficult part because the circle is tight and modern sportbikes put you in an imbalanced position for that type of slow tight turn. I took mine on a 77 Yamaha RD400, a 2stroke bike no less, which has an almost upright riding position. It was a piece of cake on that bike.

you also have to weave through some cones. It all takes just about 15 minutes and you're done. Just don't put your foot down.

M1

Then you might want to find a highway legal turbo moped to get that m1..

If you take the msf course you can bypass the dmv test all together. ;)

You can do it on a sport bike but as many have advised go practice. If you do borrow a bike to take the driving test make sure you take evidence of insurance (learned that lesson the hard way). I did mine on a 04 ZX10 and had to drag the rear brake to go slow enough. I was able to because I spent 3 hours practicing the course one Sunday afternoon.
