Any one of you salvage bike guys have a wrecked superduke motor laying around collecting dust? Might be in the market...

I suppose I should clarify... ANY LC8 motor will work... 950 or 990 is basically bolt in application.

Did the motor on your adv motor take a dump?

Time to stroke it to an 1100. :evilgrin0013:

Unfortunately - yes.

May have been something I did - no idea. It has oil in it and a lower push rod bearing appears to have failed. Going to pay it off (still owe $4000) then decide if I want to fix it or part it out.

Hah... I need it to be more reliable not less reliable. This is/was my daily driver.

Might have to start riding the tlr200 to save gas to work. Sucks - but it would help me pay off the 950 faster.

Never know ... they stopped making em, the newer models are more roadish oriented. I might have me a collectors/cult following item. Might be fun to stuff a 990 motor in it too. Git a little more zip out of it.

Nope but ordered all the parts I hope I am going to need to fix it on Friday. Half are on back order - I am hoping for august to have it all buttoned back up.

I must admit the idea of owning one of these is appealing:

Even looks a lot like a KTM 950

he is a dentist. I met him at starbucks one day with one of my old RDs. It was pretty nice condition. Yellow body work.

they are pretty rare in the states and aren't cheap. Kind of a 2 stroke SUMO basically
