I started prepping my field yesterday to build my track! Got it all disced and did a little bit of scraping today. Hopefully I will get enough dirt for some jumps out of scraping the loose stuff.

Yeah berms and layout will definitely come first. That's why I said hopefully I will have enough dirt for some jumps. I already have enough for the berms just from the little bit I have scraped. I still have the main part of my property to do.

You know, I've been doing more and more work on both my bikes and enjoying it too. Also fawking up some things in the process but I guess that's part of the learning process. BUT, when it came down to the suspension and motor work, I'm going to leave that to the professionals.

You don't need much for a berm, just a little bit of a packed banking would work for the 2 strokers... Take a blade out a circuit and pack the outside of the turns with the little extra dirt from the turns.

Yep... but after paying shop labor and diagnosis fees, it is cheaper to make a few mistakes and learn how to do it right in the long run IMHO...

Yeah I'm a little more considerate. Plus I have to live here for a really long time and I would rather be on good terms with my neighbors so they don't feel the need to call the sheriff out every time I make noise and stir up dust

that will work for about 1 turn. unless your well pump puts out 75 gpm and you are using 1 1/2 fire hose. i have a mini moto track that covers an area of 75''x180'' and it takes me an 1 1/2 hr to water with a regular garden hose 6gpm in the summer morning and by noon i cant keep up with the dust.

Aww I see, but why did you have to split the cases twice?

First time was because the crank bearing disintrigrated and that's when I had someone do it and they ****ing left spacers out or put them in wrong all kinds of crazy sh1t. They put it together rode it but everytime I rode it it always failed on me second time was when I rebuilt the whole engine all new bearing, seals, shift forks, etc. Then I bought the 450 and sold the 125 then sold the 450 and. Now I'm bike less lol.

My brother in law rigged something up by geting a cast off tank (no idea where he got it) that he converted to a water truck. Fill the tank by leting it run for a long time. Do your watering then toss the hose back in the tank while you ride.

No offense but you are not a mudder. I grew up riding and racing in soup like that. You can't shift fast enough or get enough weight back far enough. Once you get a little speed and the weight off the front end the ruts won't have much influence over the front end. High rear tire speed keeps it cleaned out and digging for more, it's all about how much mud you can throw how hard. Slinging mud one way pushes you the other. Newton's law!

Lol. Probably won't be having any large groups out there riding. My neighbors actually complained last weekend and called the Sheriff's Dept out there because my "2-stroke" is too loud (Sunday @ 12:30 in the afternoon) and we were kicking up too much dust. I can understand the dust part. I am still working on irrigation for the track. But not about the noise. There are chainsaws and tractors running out there non-stop.

The funny part is that the person that called on me is the person that have their grand kids over all of the time riding dirtbikes on their property. :p

Another funny thing is that the deputy told her that he can not doing anything about it because we weren't doing anything illegal and there are no city ordinances against it.

The thing that bothers me is that they didn't even have the courtesy to come over and say, "hey you're kinda stirring up a lot of dust". Nope, they went straight for the cops. Well.... GAME ON BEEEEYOOOTCH! :evilgrin0013:

By the way, I told the deputy that I would stop riding and he told me, "I wouldn't. Go have fun and enjoy your property!" Yeah buddy.

I would be more upset at the fact that they didn't have a courage to go and confront me about it. That's always a bummer when you start having neighbors like that. Sucks dude.

That's the only thing I was upset about. It's not like I'm an intimidating person that you can't talk to.

Idk man you do have a lifted f150 that could be intimidating :p
On a serious note I would go over and have a talk with them to get on equal terms with what goes on.

The stupid thing is that when I first moved in, I was talking to them and said that I planned on building a track and they were cool with it. They even said maybe their grand kids could come ride on it. And I've chatted with them a bunch of times. I think it was just the lady. If her husband was home he probably would have told her to shut up and mind her business.

Maybe it's the horns on my helmet? IDK my bike is pretty loud though.

Yeap! It's all you bro..bad, very bad..call the cops!! LOL.
I would just talk to them about the issue and let them know what the Sheriff said also. Let them know that they are the lucky one because if it was an Asian family that moved in, they would be up ***** creek with out a paddle! Taking my boys out on their dirt bikes for the first time this Sunday!!

What all is wrong with the 426? Is it just the fuel leak?

As far as I can tell (visual check) gas leaks from the gasket and Sergio say it leaks coolant when it feels like it. I'm thinking it's bad gaskets from sitting for so long & carb may need cleaning. It takes couple of kicks but she purrrs.

Haven't really had time to mess with it the past couple weeks. All of the tractor work is done. Just need to get the bobcat so I can build the jumps and finish my berms.

Something in the bottom end area went out (possible the main bearing). Making a nasty rattle now. Going to split the cases next weekend and diagnose the damage. The weld held up like a champ!

Man you are brutal on that thing... Take pictures when you get it apart, I want to see what you ****ed up this time lol
