They are not hard to find. It's a Yamaha R6S, which will prob help your search. Not a R6 Type S. All you need is the bulb type, then order a slim ballast hid kit using that bulb style.

Nice great Info Jerry. I am new to this and as I was looking for them I saw different colors of the HID For example (3,000k Yellow, 5,000k OEM White, 6,000 aqua blue, 8,000 deep blue, 10000 blue-violet, 12000 Violet) I am guessing that means the brightest the light goes up to. Any recommendations? any suggestion on a Black Yamaha 09

No prob we all learn as we go... I have hid's from ddmtuning.com i have the 6k 30w slim ballast set. Mine project a clear light although looking at my bike close up it looks blue. It cost me $34 for the set. They sell singles for $17. All you need to know if your bulp application before you order. I forgot the R6S bulb style, had them on that bike when I owned it also.

You can do it yourself or any fellow CVR'er in your area wouldnt shy away from lending a hand. You might need a drill to retro fit them to the bulb access cap. David at SonikkBoom can do it for you cheap if you want it done by a shop. I'll be there tomorrow after 8 if you want to stop by and shoot the shyt!

Honestly I dont care for them. Hid is my opinion, you dont want to seem to much like a Squid (someone please inform him :evilgrin0013:). It is your bike however, do what pleases you!! As she is your chick, no1 elses.
I customized my bike to my daughters liking (3 yr's old) when she picked the scheme. I've never regreted it and like it.

The best and most important thing is: Be safe, ride within your means, be aware of your surroundings, keep an eye out for dipshyt drivers and wear the proper gear; Jacket, helmet, gloves, jeans (at the least) and a good set of shoes, if you can splurge for moto riding shoes or boots.
