Having a good session chasing a guy on a gixxer 1000 that I had met in the pits, he and his bike came out alot better than it looked. He would get good seperation then at times I would catch up to him, made me try to push harder. I am still having problems with tight rights, gotta work harder on them. Had a blast out there and now that I am dieted down to 230 makes it much easier and my stamina is much better, hard to throw around 255+ sometimes.

Awesome vid derik. So that guy that wiped out in front of you was going in too hot on a sharp right or what?

cool vid looks good.
just a little suggestion, try turning in a little later in star mazda, helps square off the exit better for a strong/faster drive out and makes a straighter shot through those S'es

I think he got on the gas alittle too much coming over the top of Cotton corners and his back end slipped out.

My best time on that configuration, being the longest, was a 2:18 but my average is about a 2:22. I know I am slow but improving everytime out so that is what is important to me.;)

Those are good times I am assuming when you said "long way" you are referring to having to take the Mazda turn?

Star mazda and the extended turn 2..:D
The only time I have ran the extended Turn 2 (AKA off ramp) was during a CCW event. I don't I have ever done that turn going CW.

yep, that corner can be a doosey. i've slid the front through that one before. the trick (in my opinion) begins at turn 4 (the right hander) by late apexing that one and late apexing 5 you end up on the left side of the track going up the hill, and can get some of your turning done there. that way you're just cruising over the top of the hill rather than trying to change the bikes attitude and upsetting it. ...... but cool video anyhow! follow some instructors next time and you should see your times decrease quite a bit.

i've almost high-sided coming down that turn... there is a bump if your too far inside on the exit.... i was on the gas, hit the bump, back end came around and just hung on!!! bike tried to throw me off but i wouldn't let go...
