wife and i went for a little ride up the 190 about 1pm yesterday till we hit road closed about a mile past ponderosa... there was a forest ranger there and he said another couple weeks for the western divide to open... cal trans is doing work at different places along the 190 there is a blade and a loader cleaning up the shoulders... but when they are they are spreading ALOT of sand and gravel out into the roadway...there has been some problems with wifes tires being very slippery so had new tires put on a month ago and we are both newer riders...so we went slow and she did great not one problem im very proud... (although i was puckered the whole way)beautiful day need to figure where to today have chores to do here but....

Oh man Houa if you have not ridden 190... you have just straight up not ridden...

After the first two miles, you will be shouting "Yipeeeee" into your helmet. After the next two miles, your legs will be burning. And for the next 40 miles after that you will be begging for mercy and crying for momma.

Everyone goes on these great rides comes back and posts it and talks about how fun it was. What about posting the ride before you go and then we can all have fun. Isn't this what this board is all about?

Heres the link to the thread where I posted a vid of part of the road...at least you'll get a taste for those who don't know it.
