I'm putting together a loop for Sunday and was wondering about a couple roads that I haven't been on B-4. Who's got the 411 on Old toll, Merced Falls, Triangle, and Westfall roads. Mariposa area.
Thanx in advance for the input!
Ride posting to follow:)

Old Tollhouse: very technical up hill or down..narrow, tight radius and watch out for sand in the corners.
Merced Falls: Decent shape and good, local travelers only, nice curves. Start from La Grange (ms) and come out on 132 (north of the gas station) all good roads in that area..
We have a ride this Sunday why don't you just join us.

Okay, here's my plans for Sunday. No disrespect to Nightstalker - I saw that he's got a Pine Flat ride going. But this ride is a bit different.

This could be the "old man ride"
my map said 253 miles - and a lot of twisting!

I'm thinking we could meet up at 9 a.m. - Shell station at the base of the dam hill in Friant. I heard a rumor that the SASQUATCH is coming, so that's a good place for him to meet us. Wheels rolling by 9:30, smiles permanently affixed to faces by 9:40:D
Let's ride!

I'm outta here and won't be near a computer all weekend. I'll be at the Shell station at 9ish unless the fog monster gets me.
I'll be on the big gray thingy with the silver top box.:D

I probably should have started another thread over there, and I guess I still could, but I didn't want to cause confusion with Nightstalkers ride to P.Flat.
Whaddya think?

I will probably meet you all at Mormon Bar and Highway 49. Going to skip Westfall and Triangle Roads, too residential. Be sure and watch for slow moving cars coming out of driveways on Triangle Road.

I took the liberty of adding some jucy tidbits in. Since we are up that far, it would be a shame to miss 120 as it climbs up from the 49. Greeley hill will take us back to Coulterville. If you don wanna, it's OK, we can talk about it in the AM.

Looks like fun. I've had a mild cold the past few days so I don't feel all that spunky, but none the less I still might join you. Nothing like a ride in the cool mountain air to invigorate the mind. I'll have to see how I feel in the AM. Certainly don't wait around for me.

Hey guys made it home without any problems. Sorry to cut out early today, we have guests coming for Thanksgiving this week and I needed to make good use of the daylight hours left this afternoon to get some yardwork done.
Jester that was a cool road from 132 to 49, Granite Springs Road? Yeah thats it, very cool.
George, Randy and others (sorry didn't get all the names) it was a pleasure meeting and riding with you.

Good riding with you guys today. Love running on roads that I've never been on. Way better than taking the same road over & over.
Got a little chillie on the way home though.
Finished the ride off leaving Allen @ Madera. Seth & I ran at a good pace to get home.

Just got home half a beer ago!Wow!!! What a great day!!! All's well that ends well.......with a LOT less drama!!! Randy, Seth, Alan, George, Don, what a great pleasure to ride with you!! 40+ guys ROCK!!! Oh, you too Seth.:o Great call on Lunch Randy!!!
Old Toll is Nice in the middle George. The beginning and end could use some work though.
:nana: That little goat path wound through sum bitshin' valleys!! It's called Marshes Flat Road and that is the first time I'd ever been there! I'm sure about half way through you all were wondering *where the **** is he taking us???* And about half way, I was wondering *Jill, honey, where the **** are you taking us??* I wanna see that in the spring time when everything is blooming! Hope the cows don't over graze it too much!
Hornitos road was a BLAST!! Fresh pavement and super Grippy!! I got a little air over one of those whoops. (No Will, it wasn't a wheelie!! :p) Daniel didn't like that too much.
Thank you for snapping the pix Don! Kyd Calamari forgot his camera. :(
The Dragon is the Dragon, a nice way to get back from some nice roads!!! But how about 120?? All these kids go to the dragon and Ya never hear about 120. Better road IMHO, more traffic though... All the car drivers today ROCKED!!! No *******s and everyone moved left!! NO DRAMA!!! :)
Greely Hill Road was well marked eh?? Hell you guys din't even need me for that!
Great day Y'all Glad everything worked out all right.

Hey Chris, too bad you couldn't get outta the soup! You would've been a great addition to our little group, but you gotta respect that white stuff.
Did you know we have a city ordinance prohibiting fog in Clovis? - LOL
There will be plenty of other chances, cuz I know that this loop will get done again! Already have a couple ideas about slight mods to the route, and I'm sure Jester does too! He can sniff a good road out from MILES away:D

But while you're planning the next forced march, me & George are gonna get some seat time up in gold country. I have zero experience in that area, and I really liked what little I saw before experiencing twistus interuptus.
I didn't even have time to stop in at Erna's for a fancy celebratory scotch.:(
