I just got myself a Tourmaster "Intake" jacket. Mesh, with a windbreaker liner and a thermal liner. Paid about $125. It's made in China, the quality is not fantastic, but reasonable. The thermal liner will nest in the windbreaker liner, or in the shell itself, the shell can be worn alone, or with the windbreaker liner, so there are four possible combinations. The jacket is rather drafty though with just the thermal, it doesn't cover all possible leaks like the windbreaker liner does. The system is kind of complicated to assemble and disassemble, but could be worse. I did a lot of research before buying this jacket, and the double liners are what sold me. It's a pretty good value for the money, and should serve me well over a wide range of temperatures.

I wear the jacket with both liners in the morning and am toasty warm, or just the windbreaker and somewhat chilly, and then put the liner(s) in my backpack for the hot ride home. In the heat, as long as I'm moving, it's pretty nice (well, about as nice as it gets in Fresno in the summer)- doesn't seem much warmer than roasting in the sun with just a t-shirt. Either way, it's better than the black leather jacket I was wearing before. Which itself was better than road rash and sunburn.

Got a new jacket? An opinion? Looking for recommendations? Lets hear from you.

I just bought jackets for summer and winter and I have one I won at goldiggers last year at bikenite NJK I real like that one. the fit is real nice it has pads that seem like they will help if I ever need them ( I hope I never find out ) and it has vents that work well . I have a Cortex for the winter it stops the wind and it has a thermal liner, got the paints also they are both black . then for the hot days its my Kawasaki jacket and its ok as long as your moving . Ok I have a lot of gear and helmets I have seven of them only four fit my. the rest are for the kids and any lady that wants a ride.

I just bought a Joe Rocket Mesh jacket at FMS. I've been on a few rides with it now. It has really good air flow and plenty of straps and snaps in the right places. The only issue I have with it right now is that the padding is still stiff. I think I might soak it in water and see if I can shape it to my body a little better. The only pad that is bothersome is the spine pad. It doesn't curve with my back yet. Once it breaks in it will be perfect. I only paid like $80 something including tax.

Picked up a Dainese Santa Monica W/wave G2 protector. Soft leather, perforated, when moving works great. Have not used in the cold yet but should work well with it's down liner.

Spidi leather NRG jacket for me!
I like Italian stuff, so far i'v collected..AGV Rossi Ltd ed. winter test helmet 18/500...Spidi Carbo six gloves, and Sidi Vertigo race boots...Some Dianese or Spidi leather pants would finish the collection, but my Teknic sport leather pants will have to do for now.
Speaking of Italian goodies..anyone see the new Ducati 848 yet? looks awesome!
