Here is another great link on SportRider: http://www.sportrider.com/tech/suspension/
After I setup my suspension, it made a world of difference in the twisties. It can really hold a line in the corners now!

Been playing with mine. Started adj. damp. 1-2 clicks one way then the other. To see which way felt better. Then moved to rebound. You have to find a good stretch of road that you can ride over and over.

Setting up the suspension it not only about turning the clickers on the forks / rear shock. It also depends on the type of bike, rider experience, weight, gear, tires, rims etc.
Usually the stock suspension on most sport bikes is set up for a max of 180 lbs rider. If you really want better suspension take it to an expert such a Race Tech in Santa Ana, CA.
You can either make an appointment with them and go in person or you can send your forks and rear shock to be setup to your weight and type of riding. Remember WEIGHT = your weight + all of your gear weight!
For example, if you are a 180 lbs rider, you will prolly weight 200 to 210 lbs with gear on.
A lot of times you can play around with the stock setup and improve it a little bit, but the best thing to do is to have a pro. set it up for you. Or you can go to any race track, and you can have your stock suspension be setup for $20.00 bucks. There's a guy who does this for a living at the races, I forgot his name, but if you go to the race track, you'll know who he is.:D

I took my bike to a track day where Dave Moss (even Dan Kyle calls him a suspension god) was doing setups for $20. Set the sag and adjusted shock and front forks. Took him only about 5 minutes to complete but oh what a difference the new setup made. :)

Thats what am looking for Big Kahuna, wich track you went? are you going any time soon?Check his schedule to find out where he'll be and then show up to the track day. I would call first to make sure that guest are welcome, but they usually are.

I would love to have him show up down at Fresno Motorsports for a "Suspension Setup Day", but he's so darn busy I don't think he has a free weekend. He also tunes for Chaz Davies who runs in the AMA.
Common Chris, give him a shout and see if you can work something out!
