Since our turnout is low, and we want to get people out to the track even though the economy is terrible, we are throwing this at y'all as an economy buster track day. For those of you that already signed up for the full price, we have you on a list and can either credit you $25 towards another day, or refund you at the registration table. Come on out!!!

New turn 2?
If you have ridden Buttonwillow backwards with us before, then it is the same config that we always do. If not, the turn 2 that we use when we run clockwise, is the tighter turn 2. When we run counter-clockwise, we use the other turn 2, which when you run the track backwards is actually turn 10 or 11, but it is the one that goes out a little farther towards the kart track. Tons O' Fun!!

My favorite config. for sure. I wish I had the funds to ride with you guys again, put on a great and friendly event. You don't need anyone to work the afternoon session (grid, crash cart) so I can ride free in the morning do ya?:D
I worked tech and the grid this past sat. morning and ended up only putting in about 12 laps in the afternoon cause it was so hot out there. Supposedly it isn't suppose to be that hot this monday, even if it is it is still a blast.

:myhijackedX: So I know it's a little off topic, but what all do I need to have done to my bike in order to get on the track?
I took this right off their website...
BIKE CHECKLIST
Tires: Should be in new or near new condition. We also have tire service available from Pirelli at all events. Our tire pricing at the track can't be beat!
Brakes: Check pads for wear.
Chain: Check tension and make sure it is lubed.
Wheel Weights: Should be taped down with duct tape.
Bolts and Fasteners: You should give your bike a once over before coming to our events and make sure that everything is secured and tight.
Oil: Make sure that your bike's oil level is full and drain plug is tightened.
Levers: Brake and clutch levers should be at proper adjustment and should be securely fastened to your bike.
Throttle: Your throttle should snap closed when released from the open position.
Mirrors/Turn Signals/Headlight/Taillight: All of these should be taped, or disconnected.
RIDER CHECKLIST
Current Health Insurance, if you have it. It is helpful to have a copy on hand, just in case.
Bike Key
Leathers *RENTALS AVAILABLE*
Boots/Socks
Gloves
Helmet
Back Protector(Highly Recommended) *RENTALS AVAILABLE*
Tools/Lubes/Polish/Tire Pressure
Rags
ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
Water! Dehydration is a rider's worst enemy! We will provide drinks throughout the day and during lunch, but you are responsible for keeping yourself hydrated!
Chairs and canopy. It is nice to have a place to sit, and even nicer to have a little shade to sit under when you are not on the track. If you don't have a canopy, lots of folks do .... so make some friends at the track.
Change of clothes for when you are finished riding. You don't want to drive home in the same sweaty stuff you've been riding in all day.

For those of you that are new or some what new to the forum Matt along with Aaron are the owners of www.TI2TT.com. They are a very professional organization that bring the thrill of tracks days. I have been to many a organizer's event and TI2TT is one of the best who takes particular care in customer service.
TI2TT all started with GreenNug (Nathan) who started this whole CVR track day. TI2TT was our inaugural track day and the turn out was close to 25 CVR members. Because of this TI2TT has taken an interest in CVR and it members, even though neither Matt or Aaron live any where close to the Central Valley.
I know I posted something similar in another thread and it seems like I am attempting to promote or get something out of this. Well, I am not and I am not doing this at any one direction other than my own. Other organizers with this much professionalism are much more expensive and offer less.
Sign on up you will not be disappointed.

Bryan and Adrian... Just got home!! Great to see you guys out there today. Glad to see Bryan testing out the healing process and making a go of it! Little hot for sure in the afternoon for sure but I rode 6 sessions today.
Derik... Great meeting officially and talking. Thanks again SOOOO much for the cush drive for my buddy's bike. It absolutely saved his weekend! We gave it to Stacey at the end of the day. Glad you had fun on Sunday. We sure did. 119 riders and 4-5 crashes with NO stoppages is always a success.
Hope to see y'all soon at one of our days! Vegas Classic course at the end of Sept!! If not, we'll see some of ya at Infineon with the Track Club?
Good meeting you and your whole crew, really a nice group of guys. No problem lending John the part, man I feel bad for anyone that comes all that way to ride my track, I call it mine cause it is basically in my backyard, Glad I was able to help out, he was a way cool guy so it was my pleasure. Hope to see ya soon and maybe next time we can hit the track together, well you would deifinitely take off and leave my ass but I would have fun trying to keep up..:D

Counter clockwise is definitely my favorite config. Especially with lost hills and the Star Mazda turn. Was hoping to see you out there. Did you ride at all?

I rode on sunday CW, and I was gonna ride on monday morning sessions but I lent a part off my bike to Matt's buddy, John, so he could ride the rest of the day on sunday, I left early when it got hot around 2pm, and all day Monday. He came all the way from Truckee and I felt bad for the guy and I can hit BW anytime..:D Oh yeah, I like CCW the best also, but really I enjoy both ways.;)
I will be out there again on Sept. 6,7,8th and I will be riding the morning sessions on those days and working grid in the afternoon.

CCW for sure.....At first I was a little lost since I have only rode this direction one time before. But after a few session I was settling right in.
Derik, what is your average lap time there CCW? I am wondering if my lap timer is accurate since I bought it new and it only works part of the time.

I have never used a lap timer there CCW in that config. so I have no clue. I need to get a laptimer for sure, I have a transponder that I will use to race at WSIR and sometimes I can use it at BW if they are set up there for transponders.

Are you just now figuring that out:rolleyes:...
I Liked the Kawi it appeared to turn in a little quicker plus it seemed to have better power in the mid range coming out of the corner. But Adrian would still pull me on the straights with my bike . So it must be the weight:sumo: because the bikes are identical in power.
I am sure with some dialing in on the suspesion it could be a better handling bike. Funny thing is, Adrian said the same thing about my bike.
