Can you tell if it is frozen to the case, the frame or the swing arm?

Rotate the swingarm up and down with the nut off, does the swing arm axle rotate with the swing arm?

Can you rotate the swing arm axle independently of everything else?

The sawzall was a joke.

We'll get the axle out but everything else will be hacked up.

I figured it was a joke. I have had it soaking in break free since yesterday around 3PM. It just wont budge. Just going to take some thinking and some more elbow grease to get this thing out.

I can bring by some "impact" equipment that may help. Both rotational and longitudinal. Beer always helps this stuff break free too.

Do you have compressed air or electric only?

Here is a secreet formula that I use on almost everything.
3 parts WD-40
1 part ATF
Put it is a squirt bottle and go to town.

The WD is a good penatrant but does not lubricate under heavy loading and it evaporates.
The ATF is thin, works well under moderately heavy loading, is carried by the WD, and it does not evaporate.

I use a 50/50 mix for most all of my light drilling.

How bout this. I will bring it by your shop tomorrow when I get off work if I cant get it broke free tonight. It would be easier for you that way.

I have a small compresser not enough for Impact. Thank you for the offer of help. I will let you know tomorrow. If thats ok with you.

I want to say thank you so much to Ray. He was a great help. He helped me (actually did it all) get the swing arm bolt out. I could not of done it with out his help. He is awsome.

And Ray you never told me a price on the swing arm. We talked about building it but you never gave a estimate. Guys if you need work done he is great and the charges are completely nominal for his expertise.

Your welcom Mike, it was good to get to know you and glad I could help.
There is no expertise here, just stubborness and the brute force if a 3lb hammer on a 1/2" thick steel table. Sooner or later something is going to give.

About the swingarm, aluminum & about 4"-5" over
materials - $60-$80
my labor - $150-$200
machine shop labor - $100-$150????

You are probably looking around $375ish.
I could have it hard anodized too if you want pretty.

Well, I was going to say heat it up with a torch....

We did a little of that but it is futile as there is a bushing inside of the swing arm frame that was frozen to the pivot bolt and no way to get heat directly to the bushing without overheating the swingarm. The bolt is still in the bushing, but with come carefull cutting and beating we were able to remove everything from the swingarm without damaging it or the frame.

When I bought this thing it was so messed up. These are a few of the flaws.
The rims were painted silver. Tank was rattle caned over the stickers. The frame was rattle canned. The finder is the wrong one. The head light is did not fit on correctly, The rear fender was hanging on by a thread. The bolts that hold the rim together fell out the 2nd time I road it. Yes it needed to be tore down just so I could make sure everything was tight. I will post pics when I am done. Aug has been taking pics of the process. Hope it turns out well. I am in the process of cleaning her up and making her look like she should. I just picked up the new axcel for it today and the new axcel Bolt.
