So get this. I have been looking for some new helmets for the wife and I and found a sweet deal on ebay for two slightly used scorpion dogfighter helmets, one with buleant headset and 3 extra lenses. Description said very small exhaust burn on one of the helmets but I only paid $100 for all of it so I figured a small burn was no big deal. I burned my last one by accident when it hit my exhaust while trying to put it on the helmet lock.

I got them today . . Below is this sellers idea of a small burn mark.

Looks more like small fire to me!!!!!

That helmet is no good anymore, you can clearly see the hard foam has been burnt. I am also sorry you got burnt on that one, was there any pics on the auction?

Refund inprogress. I asked the seller to refund half my money and I am going to destroy this burnt helmet. I may just have to send it all bak but we'll see.

A Ninja Boot - I have NO intention of using this helmet!! There was pictures but not of the "small burn". I should have asked for pictures of the damage. Oh Well! hind site is 20/20!!

I hope you don't let one bad deal turn you off of ebay. Most sellers and buyers are good upstanding members. I personally have a couple hundred transactions on there and almost all of them where positive. Even my current bike came from ebay.
If you paid for those helmets with paypal you can file a claim with them. I would also hold off on leaving the seller negative feedback because you can use it as leverage when negotiating with the seller.

Why would anyone ever buy a used helmet, especially a damaged one? :confused2:
