Ok, here's the plan. Meet Starbucks..Fowler / Herndon at 8:00 am. Plan on AIS (That's "Ass in Seat") at 8:30. Ride the back roads up to Badger, have breakfast at the Mountain House, my new favorite place. Ride 245, 180, Elwood, Pine Flat, around to Humphrey. Decide from there, based on time permitting. Looking forward to meeting new people, and seeing old friends "Big Kahuna". Any Q's....ask.

UPDATE: THE HIGH WILL ONLY BE 94

No big deal Jodi, thanks. Hope to see you and Chris. After heading up Rumble the last 2 years, this is a piece of cake.

Around 2,000. 10 year total of just over 1 million net to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The North Fresno HOG Group that founded this event decided to step away from it this year and let MAW take it over. (Huge differences of opinions on how an event should be ran) I wish them luck. Preliminary attendance numbers are down. I think they overpriced the event.

Sounds like a nice ride, but a little too long for me on Father's Day.:(
However, I'm still willing to go up Auberry Rd to the Roadhouse & then up Sky Harbor road for a short break then back via Auberry Rd. This way I can be back early for some quality time with the family.
If anyone else is interested in this 'shorter version', we'll meet at the same time & Place as the long ride. (Starbucks-Fowler/Herdon @ 8am). I've also added a new thread for the shorter ride.
:o
Thanks

From what I'm hearing, the fact that it's as the Rodeo Grounds is a turn off for some as well. Many think that the staging will take place in the dirt. I actually met one of the organizers involved at Starbucks a couple weeks back, and she told me that the staging area will be on ashphalt. Guess thay should have made that clear. I've also heard that some may need a break from going year after year. But I do have to agree with your point regarding the cost....even though it's a great cause, that's a lot of money.

I'll be ready next time UFO, it was nice to at least have talked to you over the weekend. I REALLY want to check out those roads so you'll have to suck it up and do the ride again in a few weeks.

I went in 2004 and it was a lot of fun. I personally didn't think the fee this year is out of line for a charity event of this size. However, I've had 3 different people say they won't go because they think it's not safe with so many innexperienced riders on those twisty roads. Which kind of suprised me because I didn't feel unsafe or crowded at any time. Anyway, we'll find out how it turns out this weekend.
Next time you guys do a CVR ride I'd love to join you!

Everyone needs to see Jeff's bike....lots of chrome! You gotta see it to appreciate it.

Gosh Bill, You know how much I hate a tight twistie smooth clean road. But, since it's you, I'll force myself to do those roads just one more time.
